POVERTY STATUS

POVERTY STATUS

by Ashok Gupta on Tuesday, 17 May 2011 at 11:14

One may like it or not but we exist in our 'Poverty Status', things may look embarrassing or we may feel but things are our status, we exist in it we have to protect our honor within it.To begin with today I am starting with the question of 'Critical health care for the common people' . Leaving aside the callousness and insensitivity of the South Asian governments who eat out the United Nations and country tax payer's money and where health minister enact eunuch like dances, I am talking of the survival mentality status of the ghettos and village people, to whom I belong in fact, the people in question and who suffer the most and who can not afford the costly health care bills, the blame and analysis must be ascribed to them.

Members of legislative assemblies and municipal councilors as these ghettos and village people now surface and while themselves indulge in the luxuries of civil life allow corrupt bureaucracy infested with bribe and inefficiency to enact and place for themselves false media write ups of their performance as we see daily in newspapers, whilst on the other hand these ghetto and village people themselves, indulge in 'mol tol tod faisala' before the doctor where disease and the patients life is decided by these illiterate superstitious selfish callous people shabbily and cheaply, on the other hand these people/communities dont go for medical and health insurances, dont fight legal battles if something shabby is done by the doctors, dont support such causes..Their political faces may say number of stupidities on television. Vulgarities of marriage parties they may indulging in a lot, returned immediately from a funeral and dancing eating in the marriage party at night, attending a funeral prayer/sitting in the morning prayer other day. Their wolf character within may resemble many of lively immortal characters of famous Indian tale 'Mahabharat' where characters kill each other ghastly over property, right to family throne, women and gambling and other vices while at the same time become part of religious tales and reputed social life.
